How It All Started
The LINK Foundation emerged from a visionary commitment to community impact. Founded by stakeholders with a passion for addressing regional needs, the foundation was established alongside LINKBANK to create lasting positive change.
As an independent entity with its own corporate Board of Directors as well as three regional advisory boards with delegated grant making authority, The LINK Foundation is dedicated to strengthening local communities through three key pillars:
- Promoting Financial Literacy
- Developing future leaders
- Fortifying personal and professional development
These pillars align closely with LINKBANK’s mission, creating a synergistic approach to community empowerment.
Financial Commitment and Expansion
LINKBANCORP demonstrated its commitment by allocating $250,000 from its initial capital raise to the LINK Foundation, with plans for ongoing support. This financial backing underscores the shared values between the bank and the foundation.
LINKBANK further amplified its community impact through the innovative ‘Double Your Impact’ Program. For each new checking account opened, the bank contributes $50 to the new client, $50 to a local nonprofit of the client’s choice, and $50 to the LINK Foundation. This initiative exemplifies LINKBANK’s dedication to fostering local community growth.
Expanding Reach and Impact
The LINK Foundation has been proud to support various organizations and projects within its initial footprint. Now, in an exciting development, the foundation is tripling in size and extending its reach into Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. This expansion represents a significant step in the foundation’s journey, allowing it to become an even more powerful catalyst for positive change, financial growth, and measurable impact across a broader region.
By linking communities together across state lines, the LINK Foundation is poised to enhance more lives and create a wider network of support and empowerment. This growth not only amplifies the foundation’s ability to fulfill its mission but also opens up new opportunities for collaboration and innovation in community development.
